First of all, don’t panic. Many times when you look at an extended forecast and it says it is going to rain on your big day… it is wrong. No offense to weathermen but they just really aren’t that good with their forecast. However, you should have a plan as it will be less stressful for you. Contact us for our most current tent company recommendations. Here are some options depending on which barn you have booked:

  • Bluebonnet Barn: a 20×40 tent fits in the reception area. For your ceremony, you can have it in the barn which seats about 70 guests, or you can have fewer seated guests up front and have more standing room at the back. Or you can have it in the reception tent and just have people seated at their tables during the ceremony. There is also the option of having a much larger tent up in the big lawn area.
  • Meadow Barn: a 20×40 tent fits in the reception area along the side of the porch. For the ceremony, you can have it in the barn which comfortably seats 70 and you have the standing room under the porch. If you have a smaller guest count, you may be able to not have a tent and just have everything in the barn and under the porch.

No, we do not allow tents in the ceremony sites. Tents can only be placed in the crushed granite areas or in the big lawn area at the Bluebonnet Barn. All tents must be anchored using barrels or cement blocks, not staked into the ground.
